Les Balcons is delighted to announce its partnership with La Grande Odyssée VVF, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year! This exceptional sled dog racing event, considered to be the most demanding in the world, will take place from January 11 to 23, 2025, across the most beautiful landscapes of the Northern Alps.
An international event
La Grande Odyssée VVF is one of Europe’s most prestigious sled dog races. For this anniversary edition, 65 international mushers and their 600 athlete dogs will cover 400 km, with an impressive 12,000-meter vertical drop.
Val Cenis at the heart of the action
We’re particularly excited to see that Val Cenis, where our Les Balcons group is based, is an integral part of the route.
On January 18 and 19, 2025, the resort will host two spectacular stages of the race :
- January 18: Stage 7a, from Bessans to Val Cenis via Bonneval sur Arc
- January 19: Stage 7b, all the way to Val Cenis
